Also take notice one of the FLN-team members had a key role France qualified for the 1958 Worldchampionships. When France hold Belgium on a 0-0 draw on 27-10-1957 Mustapha Zitouni cleared a Richard Orlans (Belgium) shot off the line. If Belgium had won this match, both teams would have finished at 6 points and a play off was needed.

Quite remarkable story with Mekhloufi, he even won the CISM World Military Championship with France before he left to join the FLN. His name is still remembered in Iraq.
