Don't have lineup for first game, but have it listed as 12/02/69.

For second game, again I have a different date - 10/03/76. I have the scorers also, but not the lineups..

10/03/76
El Salvador 1-2 Hungary

This date is not right - Hungary arrived in Guadalajara for their match vs Jalisco XI (on 10/2/76) from El Salvador. In an interview with the Hungarian coach published 10/2, he said they had just beaten El Salvador 2-1.

So I think the most realistic date for El Salvador 1-2 Hungary is 8/2/76.

Also El Salvador played Mexico (Olympic) on 11/2/76 (or maybe 10/2/76), in Estadio Olimpico 'Flor Blanca', in a friendly game to benefit the victims of the earthquakes on 4/2 and 6/2 in Guatemala.
El Salvador 0-0 Mexico Olympic
Mex: Gomez; Hernandez, Gallegos, Toribio, De la Rosa; Garcia, Gomez; Tapia, Sandovalo, Corcio, Caballero. Coach: Diego Mercado.
El Sal: Calderon; Quinteros, Jovel, Rivas, Urrutia; Valencia, Flores; Huezo, Cabrera, Zapata, Rugamas. Coach: Marcelo Estrada.
Ref: Efran Aguilar Villacorta (El Salvador)

The Mexican Olympic squad themselves had just returned from Puerto Rico, where they were training, and played two games vs the Puerto Rico national team. I'm not sure if it was their 'A' team, because the reports were quite brief.

6/2/76, Bayamon, Estadio Juan Ramon Loubriel, 2000
Puerto Rico 1-9 Mexico Olympic (1-5 HT)
Goals: Wilfredo Hernandez 41' pen / Rafael Toribio 11' 45', Alfredo Navarrete 23', Gabriel Marquez 25', Jorge Lopez 30', Victor Rangel 74', Jose Luis Caballero 77', Hugo Sanchez 88' 90'
Ref: Miguel Angel Villegas (Puerto Rico)

8/2/76, Bayamon, Estadio Juan Ramon Loubriel, 2000
Puerto Rico 1-8 Mexico Olympic
Luis Gallegos / Hugo Sanchez 15', Hector Tapia 35', Victor Rangel, Jose Luis Caballero, [? x4]

I found that Hungary played vs Leon (Mexico) on 12/2/69, so I think 9/2 is right.

Also, the match Morocco vs Hungary in 1969 was in February, not January:

9/2/69 Casablanca, Morocco 1-4 Hungary

In January 1983, Hungary visited Egypt:

http://www.origo.hu/sport/focivilag/200501211983.html

The coach was Kalman Meszoly (the regular A national team coach). Hungary played twice vs Egypt A, once vs Egypt Olympic (I think).

The first match in Cairo, Nasser stadium,
21/1/83 Egypt 1-0 Hungary
Katzirz, Sallai, A.Kerekes, Garaba, I.Varga, Hannich, Poczik, Burcsa, Bodonyi (L.Kiss 69'), Szentes, Poloskei.

You can see this Hungary team is very strong.
So I think this is another case where the team was A but the games were not considered official (probably because Hungary lost...)

Does anybody have more info on these games? I only found one lineup.

At least Hungary also does not regard the match official they won 2-0 . In similar cases former East-Germany certainly would have considerd only the match they won official. But again this story makes clear we should not rely too much on how the different FA's are regarding matches (official or not).

As I understand a bit (a little bit) Hungarian. I make up Hungary did play three matches, twice against Egypt A and one against Egypt Olympic XI. The first match was attended by 15,000 spectators and Ibrahim Youssef must have scored the winner in the match Egypt won (1-0) two days later.

I see two matches on his site: http://www.angelfire.com/ak/EgyptianSports/results.html :
21-01-1983 Egypt 1-0 Hungary (with Ibrahim Youssef scoring the winner)
23-03-1983 Egypt 0-2 Hungary

Indeed. I don't know why I didn't notice it before. Maybe it's a supplement done lately.

TRANSFERS FROM OTHER THREADS ABOUT HUNGARY

Post subject: Hungary XI 10-1 Tunisia, 24 July 1960

Fast Midfielder
Please can anyone help me to give the line ups of Hungarian team that beat Tunisia 10-1 on 24 July 1960?

mcruic
It appears to be the Hungary Olympic team

24/07/60 (or maybe 20/07/60?) - Budapest
Hungary 10-1 Tunisia
HUNGARY LINEUP
Florian Albert
Antal Dunai
Dznoki
Janos Gorocs
Ferenc Kovacs
Bela Kuharszki
Dezso Novak
J Pal
Erno Solymosi
Gabor Torok
Pal Varhidi

On 27/07/60 in Copenhagen
Denmark 1-0 Hungary

Appears to be the same Hungary team here

Also on 17/08/60 in Tata
Hungary 16-1 Guinea

Appears to be Hungary's last warm-up match before Olympics

26/08/60
Hungary 2-1 India
(First Olympics match - team is almost same as team against Tunisia)

nfm24

Gábor Török, Dezső Novák, Pál Várhidi, Jenő Dalnoki, Ernő Solymosi, Ferenc Kovács III, Béla Kuharszki, János Göröcs, Flórián Albert, Antal Dunai II, József Pál.

It was the Hungary Olympic team, i.e. without some players who had appeared in World Cup games before (e.g. Matrai, Tichy, Fenyvesi etc)

Compare it to the full Hungary that played vs England and Scotland in 1960. There are several players in both squads.

Tunisia played another warmup:
23.8.60 Rome
Turkey Olympic 2-2 Tunisia
Goals: Koken x2 / Ali Klibi, Moncef Chéri

Yes, it was the same team (at least, the scorers in the Chile match all played in the Mexico matches). Hungary also apparently played Guatemala.

Hungary scorers: Antal Dunai II, Janos Farkas (3), Ferenc Bene

Does anyone has the Spain line ups for the match Spain XI 5-2 Hungary played on 15-12-1926 as Spain Combined - Hungary Professionals?

I don't have it at the moment, but you can try these Spanish newspapers:

http://www.elmundodeportivo.es/hemeroteca/index.html

http://www.lavanguardia.es/hemeroteca/

Fast Midfielder

I tried this one: http://www.elmundodeportivo.es/hemeroteca/index.html
16-12-1926 newspaper is not available, 17-12-1926 one is available, but the quality of the pages are terrible. I was just able to read some part of the headline on which I read something as 5-2 and Budapest. The rest was unreadable. Not to mention about the core article.

nfm24

Did you click on them to open them in PDF ? I had no problems reading the articles. It seems to say that the match was "Madrid vs Budapest".

Fast Midfielder

on 15-12-1926 Madrid v Budapest, on 19-12-1926 Spain v Hungary. Where I have seen similar things? Two countries play twice within a few days. One match is labbeled as between two countries, the other one as between two cities.

mcruic

According to reports leading up to the game, Spain wanted to play the game in Vigo, Hungary wanted to play in Madrid. Hungary said that they would then play a Galicia selection in Vigo, and Spain in Madrid. Then, Hungary accepted to play finally in Vigo against Spain, and before that in Madrid (as Hungarian Professional Selection, with "possibly some variation from the team who played in Vigo") against a "Selección del Centro"

The Centro/Madrid team

Martínez - Escobal, Benguria, Sáez, Tuduri, Peña, Moraleda, Valderrama, Monjardin, F. Pérez, L.Olaso

Only Peña played against Hungary in Vigo

What's the deal with the two matches 1927 and 1928 against Yugoslavia (B?)? Hungary also played International Cup matches on the same days, while the Yugoslav lineup looks like their A team.

Does not look like Hungary's A national team, so now I understand why Hungarian FA does not regard this match official. Do you also have Hungaian line up for the match they played 09-10-1927 against Czechoslovakia (1-2), which also is not regarded official by the Hungarians?

Yugoslavian FA regard these matches as B internationals. If the line up is - nearly - identical to their A team this is another example lables are not in accordance with its lables. Imho these two Hungary matches against Yugoslavia should be considered as A. Hungarian FA regard these matches as A, even they fielded de facto a B team. However untill the 1950 some European nations regularly were used to play two official A internationals on the same day with two different teams they labelled as A. Hungary, Germany, Sweden and Poland did so in particular.

I think the Hungarians recognise this match as full international. It is on several Hungarian sites.

Is Hungarian FA website one of these sites? As far as I am informed Hungarian FA did not recognized this one and the 23-09-1928 match against Czechoslovakia full A internationals. However, I know in 2002 Hungarian FA recognized some matches afterwards (at least the 1926 and 1933 matchs against Portugal, two matches in 1952 against Moscow XI aka USSR and a 1956 match against Lebanon).

On following topic you can find info about another unofficial match Hungary played, Netherlands 6-5 Hungary on 25-06-1933 http://roonba.20.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=945
