yes, but I meant a decisif match: if Canada won, they went through and Honduras was eliminated.... we expected a more close result , so it might be exceptional

A few years ago, Scotland played Netherlands in a qualifying playoff.
1st leg Scotland 1-0 Netherlands
2nd leg Netherlands 6-0 Scotland
I broke my radio that day...

To me it is:
1st leg Scotland 1-0 Netherlands
2nd leg Netherlands 6-0 Scotland both and
I remember at work I won the pool (15 points for predicting a good result , 5 points for predicting the right half time score in the first leg) as the only one who got some points. Thanks to James McFadden

My predictions were:
Scotland - Netherlands 1-1 (1-0)
Netherlands - Scotland 2-1 (1-1)

There also were some decisive matches with much bigger scores if we can regard 3rd/4th place matches as such:
1912 Olympics: Netherlands 9-0 Finland
1928 Olympics: Italy 11-3 Egypt

I think Honduras is much stronger than Canada. Actually predicted after round 1 (on the FIFA forum) that Honduras and Panama will advance. 8 goals is really too much, but 3-4 goals difference is the normality for me.

Should be highly interesting final round. I hope Panama will make it for the first time. And maybe there will be 4 teams from CONCACAF, I think this time New Zealand won't make it.

Despite this hexagonal format seemingly guaranteeing Mexico qualification, they are doing their best to throw it away.
Somehow Honduras threw away winning positions twice and drew 2-2 with Panama.  But they're still in good shape:
Panama have the hardest fixtures remaining.   Jamaica can still qualify, amazingly, but only with 2 wins.

USA     8 5 1 2 10- 6 16 [qualified]
Costa Rica  8 4 3 1 11- 5 15 [qualified]
Honduras    8 3 2 3 10-10 11
Panama    8 1 5 2 7- 9 8
Mexico     8 1 5 2  4- 6  8
Jamaica     8 0 4 4  3- 9  4

11-10-13 Honduras - Costa Rica
11-10-13 USA - Jamaica
11-10-13 Mexico - Panama

15-10-13 Jamaica - Honduras
15-10-13 Panama - USA
15-10-13 Costa Rica - Mexico

I'm curious to see what the USA will do in the next World Cup. I've always thought that the only ones who can break the European/South American dominion, come from Concacaf: Mexico or the USA.

After all, if we consider all the official FIFA competitions for "A" National teams, the only tournament conquered by a non-European/South American country was indeed the Confederations Cup won by Mexico in 1999.

Teams from CONCACAF are a long way from winning the World Cup. I'd say they are further now they were even 10 years ago.
From Asia, Japan on a good day can give a good match to top teams, but the other teams are not going to challenge.
So Africa is the best bet. But too inconsistent. Perhaps the conditions in Brazil will help them a bit.
