I'm not sure what the question is.

Yes East Germany played in Egypt, also in Guinea, Sudan and Iraq.

For example, the lineup for the first game in Egypt:
Blochwitz, Fräßdorf, Walter, Geisler, Irmscher, Körner, R. Ducke, Nöldner (Stein 46'), Frenzel, Erler, Vogel

Notes: although the East German team was a full strength national selection, none of these matches
were regarded as official full internationals by the D.F.V.
In the original schedule it was planned to visit Guinea instead of Iraq.
Some lineups were given but not all.  Probably FuWo has them.
Anyway you can see from the lineup I posted that DDR was the full national team.

It's obviously DDR full NT. I take my words (see other topics) back the East-Germans did not count matches just because they lost them (I even named it the East-German disease). Now it's clear that even matches they won were not counted. At the 1963-64 Asian trip even many wins, including a 14-0 over Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) which would have been East-German NT record win if that match was officialized.

Yes it was not so simple, but it seems that in some cases they certainly concentrated on the official match (making sure to field the strongest team) and relaxed more in the unofficial one. Natural I suppose.
