The Asian Games, also known as the Asiad, is the 2nd largest multi-sport event in the world next to the Olympic Games itself. Since its beginnings in 1951, the event has grown in popularity in Asia, with the rest of the world following its progress. It showcases local Asian talents in dozens of sports categories, although it has met with controversy, particularly when Israel was refused participation by Indonesia in 1962.

I don't remember if  the following subject was already discussed in another Topic.
My question is: when did  the 23 age limit officially start?
.In RSSSF I read 1994 Asian Confederation "suggested" the above limit, but no Country complied (with exception of Saudi Arabia)
.In Wikipedia I read 2002 was the first year. If confirmed, all the previously (before 2002) played Matches shoud be listed as "A".
