As FIFA members, they get 250,000 US Dollars each year from FIFA, and they have not played any international matches since 2000 (so no travel, accommodation expenses) - so what have they done with the 2 million dollars they have got in the last 8 years or so?

As far as I am aware, the last São Tomé participation in any event was in 2002 (lost 5-0 and 6-2 to Angola in the African U-17 Championship). So, for the last 7 years, there have been mno participation of any national teams at all. Also, their clubs do not appear to play in African competitions.

So, has all the money went on infrastructure? On developing the national stadium (of 6,500 capacity)? I'm not sure this is true. And I am also not sure that running the domestic competitions would cost so much money. Consider also, that in 4 of the last 7 years, the country has had no national championship. So, where is all the money going?

I don't think STP and DRC are members of CEMAC, at least not FULL members.

From Wikipedia....
"CEMAC... is an organization of states of Central Africa established by Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon to promote economic integration among countries that share a common currency, the CFA franc"

STP and DRC do not use the CFA Franc (Dobra and Congolese Franc respectively).

they withdrew in both CAF Champions League & Confederations Cup....

seems they will not take part in ACN 2012 qualifiers, hope they will focus on World Cup 2014 qualifiers (as in FIFA article)

Sao Tome e Principe extends warm welcome (Blatter in Sao Tomè)

"Sao Tome e Principe must now move on and take part in international competitions. And to achieve that goal the government and the FA must work together.”

São Tomé & Príncipe short of money - may not be able to travel to Congo for the 2nd leg.

STP short on money again - they may have to withdraw from their next matches against Sierra Leone.

Highlights of Sao Tome & Principe's 1-1 draw in Congo. It would be a shame if they can't afford to play against Sierra Leone. The government hardly cover 10% of the sides expenses, and the money from FIFA every year disappeared under the reign of former FA president Manuel Dende. I never knew there were Sao Tome players plying their trade in the Brazilian second tier, and the Portugese first and second leagues, they beat Sierra Leone 2-0 a few (many?) years ago and it's mad to think they are only two ties from the 2013 CAN!

Does anyone know where I can find photos of Sao Tome & Principe vs Guinea-Bissau at the 2006 Lusophony Games? I can find them wearing their away shirt vs Portugal, but am trying to find the home shirt.

This guy was given a shirt in 2002 by the STP FA (you have this shirt already - last 2 pictures)

You can also see another STP national team shirt (for the futsal team, but usually futsal national teams have the same colours), which is yellow and green.
