Funny names of teams result from straight automatical translation. "Sarajevo railway workers" are Zeljeznicar Sarajevo and "Polish miners to be present" are GKS Katowice. Both are club sites. "Congo red devils" are probably Congo Brazzaville's true national team as they have got such a nick. "Warsaw" in 1983 was Legia Warsaw which you all do not want to support :-) on clubs thread of the forum.

Yes, and on RSSSF we already had the scores and teams for these tournaments without the dates (with only a few differences), but I thought it was interesting to use the direct translation ;-)

I found in a Mexican newspaper a report of the UNAM 2-1 China match. It said it was in the Jiangwan stadium in Shanghai. We already knew Group B was in Shanghai, but perhaps Group D also. The newspaper didn't report any other match, except to mention that Morocco 1-1 China Youth (on the same day) was also in Shanghai.

Is an A match for Albania it seems but not a FIFA intl.
The scorers I have:
17' Mico Ndini (AL)
33', 60' Fan Un Chu (CN)
64' Koleç Kraja (AL)
74' Can Hon Chen (CN)

Not sure about the Chinese name.. if somebody could check..

they played with Kraków on Aug 19, with Katowice on Aug 22
they just played with cities in Poland trip

I checked newspaper archives and the match in 1952-08-19 was played as Cracow vs Beijing. HT result 6-0.

Also the match in 1957-09-15; both scorers against Albania played in WC qualifiers for 1958.
No exact lineup available. The site quoted has all the squads from the Chinese trips are available, though not match specific ones.

PS. Here's a Chinese remark regarding two matches (incl vs Albania). But I can't find a proper translation about the status of these matches:

1、国际足联记录的7月21日和9月15日对苏丹和阿尔巴尼亚的友谊赛,根据《中国体育年鉴》,中国都是以联一队名义出赛,不应列为国家队比赛。
2、主要参考资料:国际足联、《中国体育年鉴》、人民日报、大公报

These remarks say something like this:

1: FIFA register the matches on 21/7 and 15/9 vs Sudan and Albania, but "Chinese Sports Annual" says that this was a Chinese combined clubs team, and should not be listed as the national team.

2: main references: FIFA, "Chinese Sports Annual", "People's Daily" (newspaper), "Da Gong Bao" (newspaper)

20.8 should be 2.8 (2nd August), I think.
"sand embankment" is Sariwon
etc

"2nd August" is first name of 4.25.

"Pyongyang Wing" is Jebi team.

"Marine" is Chongjin Chandongcha

"Pyongyang Wing" means "United Pyongyang" or Pyongyang selection. I thought there was a Pyongyang City club?

Marine : literal translation was "Haeyang" meaning Ocean / Marine. Could be a shipyard team, or maybe the Navy.

In socialist country the team of the Air Force named "Wing", for example "Kyrilia Sovetov" means "Wings of the Soviets".

Jebi is the sports club of Korean People's Air Force. Jebi means Swallow in korean.

Hier is "pyongyang united":

But "Wing" is not written anywhere in the Chinese text. It is artificial (produced by translator confusion, lack of context).

* 1962年11月18日 平壤(朝鲜) 平壤联队(朝鲜) 0-1 负 友谊赛

平壤 = Pyongyang
联队 = Lian Dui = United/Combined Team
朝鲜 = Korea
负 = lose
友谊赛 = friendly match

The translator is only a simple tool, it needs to be used carefully!
